Legacy portraits capture a person's true essence through thoughtful imagery that represents their experiences, values, and important moments.

Preserving Memories of Those You Love

With over 38 years of experience as a commercial photographer, I have had the privilege of working on corporate annual reports for Fortune 500 companies. After years of global travel for client assignments, I’ve recently relocated to Southwest Florida to enjoy the beautiful weather and unwind after a fulfilling career. While my corporate assignments may be fewer these days, my passion for photography—especially capturing people—remains as strong as ever.

Portraiture holds a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing thousands of individuals, from CEOs and board members to renowned personalities, as well as everyday people. As a portrait photographer, my goal is to capture the essence, personality, and unique identity of each subject. Through careful attention to background, lighting, and posing, I strive to create an image that feels both natural and thoughtfully composed, allowing the subject’s true character to shine through.

Location plays a pivotal role in my process. A well-chosen setting helps tell the story of the individual, and I prefer to shoot on-location—whether at the subject’s home, a golf club, or even on their boat. Lighting is my specialty; I’ve taught lighting workshops to photographers worldwide, and Nikon has even featured my lighting techniques in instructional videos.

For me, a portrait is more than just an image; it is a timeless preservation of a person’s likeness and personality. Over the years, I’ve met many who regret not having taken the time to create a portrait for themselves or a loved one. One common example is aging parents—capturing their legacy with dignity and respect is a cause I hold dear.
